Winter’s Embrace: Closing the Year with Reflection
Seasonally, winter is dark and moody. It invites us to go inward, to retreat and to reflect on another year passed.
Is this energy calling you? If so, I invite you to explore this rhythm in your days.
WINTER // DECEMBER // DEATH // ClOSING // REFLECTION
You’ve done so much this year, mama.
How can you look back and celebrate the growth, the lesson and defining moments that shaped you this year?
Embracing your soulful gifts and expression as a mother.
Does a river move in you, mama?
Do you ask your soul for direction?
How can we lead our children to nurture their soulful expression without tending to our own river?
For me, the work of making my personal river flow has been both a difficult and extremely fulfilling journey; I’m sharing some simple ways to get started with this work today.
Time Bending as a Busy Mother
Drowning.
This is the way I was describing how I felt earlier this year.
No space to breathe or be.
It was time to make a change within my motherhood journey. I owed it to myself, my relationships I hold close, and my children.
Finding silence and intuition as a busy, modern mother in a noisy world
I remember that one day it just clicked that I could choose to stop listening to the noise which told me how to mother.
I could steer clear of the blog posts that would get Harvey to sleep through the night on his own, or the advice from a friend about how she fixed the same problem with her daughter.
But it would have to be a choice that I would need to make over and over.
I would need to create space to go inwards and hear my own motherly instincts and guidance.
